RYAN

Ryan has wanted to work with animals since he was young and becoming a vet has allowed him to achieve that dream.

You can find him spending quality time with his lovely wife Megan and son Scott going for walks, cycling and camping when possible. He has a soft spot for cats and has two of his own, Arwen and Tauriel.

Ryan is a kind and compassionate person who strives to provide the best care for both patients and clients. Being South African he completed his studies at the University of Pretoria and, after seven years and two degrees, worked in small animal private practice in his home town.

The next phase of his career brought him to Queensland, Australia in 2015 gaining valuable experience in medicine, surgery and emergency work.

Ryan moved to the Illawarra with his family in 2018 where he has worked locally till joining the team at Illawarra Animal Hospital as the Veterinarian Director.
